Rev. Jonathan Bradner
Raised in Northwest Ohio, Jonathan learned the value of hard work early, including one of his first jobs working on a pig farm. That experience instilled in him a deep respect for the grit and resilience of small-town communities. Before entering full-time ministry, he built a career in the hospitality industry, where he rose into leadership while advocating for fair wages and safer, more equitable workplaces for his coworkers.
Jonathan’s path has not been traditional. Once a college dropout, he later returned to school, earning a Master’s degree in Ethics and Justice. Today, he serves on the boards of respected local and international nonprofits, bringing both lived experience and thoughtful leadership to the work. As a pastor, he has walked alongside people in some of life’s hardest moments, shaping a leadership style grounded in empathy, dignity, and a belief that everyone deserves a voice in their community.
Jonathan and his wife, Molly, live in Colerain with their three dogs, one cat, and even a snake. They enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling across the country, and still make time for a Disney trip now and then. He is running for State Representative because he believes Ohio deserves leaders who listen, act with integrity, and bring people together to solve real problems.
